The Reports module role is set by default based on the user’s role in the application.
Application Role | Reports Permissions |
|---|---|
Administrator | Administrator |
Operator | Operator |
User | No access |
Administrators will always have full access to all modules and data in nVision, so their Reports role cannot be changed. Moreover, if a user with a different system role and permission scope is switched to Administrator, this change applies across the entire application and all modules, including Reports.
In nVision, users with the User role have no access to the Reports module, and this setting cannot be changed. To gain any level of access to Reports, this role must be updated.
Reports permissions can only be changed for users with the Operator role.
You can change Reports module permissions in the Permissions tab, accessible either through the Change permissions link in the user edit window or directly from the side menu.
In the Permissions tab, you can adjust the user’s role for the Reports module by raising or lowering its level.
You can also manage permissions by controlling the availability of spaces within the Reports module.
Users without access to the Reports module won’t see it, even if they belong to a group. In practice, effective permissions apply only to Operators or Administrators of the Reports module.
