The HAR file contains a record of the browser’s communication with the website. It may be required to analyze issues occurring in the HelpDesk, SmartTime, or AdminCenter modules.
Below you can find instructions for the browsers supported by nVision: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera.
Google Chrome
- On the page where the issue occurs, open Developer Tools:
- press F12
or - use the Ctrl + Shift + I shortcut.
- press F12
- Go to the Network tab.
- Select the following options:
- Preserve log
- Disable cache
- Click the icon for clearing the network log:
- Clear network log
- the crossed-out circle icon.
- Refresh the page by pressing F5.
- Repeat the process that causes the error.
- After the issue occurs, do not close the page or Developer Tools.
- In the Network tab, click the export icon:
- Export HAR
or - Export HAR (sanitized), if this option is available.
- Export HAR
- Save the .har file and send it in reply to the technical support message.
Microsoft Edge
- On the page where the issue occurs, open Developer Tools:
- press F12
or - use the Ctrl + Shift + I shortcut.
- press F12
- Go to the Network tab.
- Select the following options:
- Preserve log
- Disable cache
- Click the icon for clearing the network log:
- Clear network log
- the crossed-out circle icon.
- Refresh the page by pressing F5.
- Repeat the process that causes the error.
- After the issue occurs, do not close the page or Developer Tools.
- In the Network tab, click the export icon:
- Export HAR

- Save the .har file and send it in reply to the technical support message.
Mozilla Firefox
- On the page where the issue occurs, open Developer Tools:
- press F12
or - use the Ctrl + Shift + I shortcut.
- press F12
- Go to the Network tab.
- In the menu with the gear icon, select the following option:
- Persist Logs
- Select the following option:
- Disable Cache
- Click the icon for clearing the network log:
- Clear
- the trash bin icon.
- Refresh the page by pressing F5.
- Repeat the process that causes the error.
- After the issue occurs, do not close the page or Developer Tools.
- In the Network tab, right-click the request list and select:
- Save All As HAR
- Save the .har file and send it in reply to the technical support message.
Opera
- On the page where the issue occurs, open Developer Tools:
- press F12
or - use the Ctrl + Shift + I shortcut.
- press F12
- Go to the Network tab.
- Select the following options:
- Preserve log
- Disable cache
- Click the icon for clearing the network log:
- Clear network log
- the crossed-out circle icon.
- Refresh the page by pressing F5.
- Repeat the process that causes the error.
- After the issue occurs, do not close the page or Developer Tools.
- In the Network tab, click the export icon:
- Export HAR
or - Export HAR (sanitized), if this option is available.

- Save the .har file and send it in reply to the technical support message.
Important information
Do not close the page or Developer Tools before saving the HAR file. Closing the page or navigating to another page may result in the collected data being lost.
The HAR file may contain technical data related to the browser session, so it should only be sent as part of an ongoing technical support request.
